Ad campaign Design
For a 2026 Valentine’s campaign, I developed a bold creative concept titled “Love is a Crime.” By merging romance with a crime-inspired visual narrative, the campaign disrupted traditional Valentine messaging, resulting in a 43% sales increase in under two weeks and a surge in engagement and inquiries.
When the client reached out, the brief was simple:
“We don’t want a regular Valentine. We want something that makes waves.”
Valentine campaigns are often predictable: red tones, roses, soft romance, and safe messaging. To break through the noise, I proposed an unconventional narrative: “Love is a Crime.”
At first, it sounded strange. How do you connect love, Valentine’s Day, and crime without confusing the audience?
The answer was in storytelling.
We positioned love as something irresistible, so powerful it “breaks rules,” steals hearts, and leaves evidence everywhere. The visuals leaned into cinematic crime aesthetics while maintaining emotional warmth. Bold typography, dramatic lighting, evidence-style layouts, and emotionally charged copy turned a seasonal campaign into an experience.
